Schiller Cassell
Schiller is a consulting architect specializing in code compliance, accessibility and project delivery. He works collaboratively with owners, consultants, builders, organizations and government agencies to expedite project delivery.
He has devoted more than 40 years to improving the quality and performance of a wide variety of facilities for private and public clients. He is the founder and manager of Cassell Building Performance LLC serving northern California.
Schiller began practice in New York City. He moved to Southeast Asia where he designed projects in Singapore and then managed a successful architectural practice serving clients in multiple countries for more than 19 years. One country adopted two of his projects as national standards. In California, he designed and managed K-12 and higher education projects for several architectural firms, provided third-party plan review for a local jurisdiction and served as a Supervising Building Inspector for a local county. His achievements include original research and design of classroom daylighting and sustainable design guidelines for a major CA state agency. He also led teams to successfully complete multi-facility infrastructure analysis, site development, and process simulation modeling.
Schiller is a licensed CA architect, Certified Access Specialist (CASp) and Leed AP. Association memberships include the American Institute of Architects, Certified Access Specialist Institute (CASI), Sacramento Valley Building Officials Association, International Code Council (ICC) and Placer County Contractors Association (PCCA).
